Profhilo consists of stabilised HA which lasts in the skin for around 28 days. During this time it stimulates 4 different types of collagen and elastin by slow release of HA.

The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore it has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue contributing to improved skin quality and hydration both in the dermis and epidermis.

There is also increased production of endogenous HA and elastin giving the skin a more youthful look.

What to expect

You will start to see improvements after 4 weeks of the first treatment. However optimum results will be visible 8-12 weeks after the first session.

A course of two treatments, 4 weeks apart is recommended for best results, followed by a repeated course of treatments six months later of 1 treatment 4 months after initial treatment.

Treatment and recovery.

Profhilo is administered via a series of 10 superficial injections (Known as the BAP technique) and a anaesthetic cream can be used if required to ease any discomfort. Due to the nature of the injections it is quite likely the treated areas will look a little lumpy, however this should subside with a few days.
